1992 MITSUBISHI GALANT VR4 LAND SPEED RECORD RACE CAR OFF ROAD USE ONLY - NOT FOR USE ON PUBLIC STREETS OR HIGHWAYS The fastest Mitsubishi Galant VR4 all-wheel-drive car in the world! Built by RaVer Motorsports and Smith Automotive to take on the challenge of land speed racing at iconic locations like Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah and El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in California. Driven by Ron and Troy Cochran to ten (10) land speed records in the ‘G’ and ‘F’ production classes from 2006 to 2009. The car has been on-display in the climate-controlled showroom of a classic car dealership in Central California, where it was detailed weekly and started periodically. It is offered for sale in the same condition – with all the same high-performance parts and safety equipment – as it carried when it last passed tech inspection and raced to a 212.9MPH class record at El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in November 2009. Engine: 2L Mitsubishi 4G63 DOHC, Garrett GT45R turbocharger @ 50PSI boost with custom liquid-to-air intercooler. Verified 909 4-wheel horsepower at 9,500RPM. Modifications: Custom engine head porting and camshafts; Kiggly Racing valve springs and main cap girdle; Magnus 8-injector (440cc primary, 1680cc secondary) intake manifold, pistons, and aluminum rods; AEM Engine Management System; Twin Fire injector driver; EGT amplifier; Full Race exhaust manifold; Garrett GT45R Turbocharger, TiAl wastegate and blow off valve. TRE transmission and transfer case. Safety Features: Aluminum race seat; SCTA-approved roll-cage; Twin on-board 20lb fire extinguishers; Simpson parachute. Must pass tech inspection before being allowed on-track, and has passed tech inspection multiple times at both Bonneville and El Mirage with stickers to prove it.
